KIPLING ILLUSTRATED’, 1ST NATIONAL PRIZE FOR PUBLISHING (CHILDREN’S AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S BOOKS)

The prize is awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, published by Editorial Kalandraka.

The work brings together seven stories by Rudyard Kipling (Bombay, 1865-London, 1936) illustrated by seven outstanding visual artists of the current graphic art scene: Ajubel, Pablo Amargo, Isidro Ferrer, Pep Montserrat, Pablo Auladell, Paco Giménez and Arnal Ballester. The book is completed with articles by various experts who reflect on Kipling’s literary legacy and analyse the close relationship between Literature and Art.
